August 14, 2008, on Voices of Freedom

THIS WEEK'S HOST: Cassandra USA
(information here and here)

GUEST INFORMATION:

Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld is the director of The American Center for Democracy, which monitors and exposes the enemies of freedom and their modus operandi, and explores pragmatic ways to counteract their methods. She is also the author of Funding Evil: How Terrorism Is financed and How to Stop It. Dr. Ehrenfeld's bio is HERE.

The following video, about eight minutes in length, documents the story of how this American–Israeli author was ordered to destroy all copies of her book in a country where it had never been published — England — after a notoriously litigious Saudi billionaire sued her in a British court. The suit resulted in the Libel Terrorism Protection Act, also referred to as "Rachel's Law," in New York State and to a new national bill protecting freedom of speech.

UPDATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dr. Ehrenfeld was unable to appear on the show.
